Sir Patrick Stewart, Star Trek Captain, Mutant Leader, Pizza Lover, Humanitarian

There is nothing I love more than someone who is confident in their own skin that likes to enjoy themselves.  Aside from having one of the best voices EVER, Sir Patrick Stewart embraces life and his work with vigor and humor.  His portfolio of film, theater, television and voice work is beyond impressive and just when I thought I couldn’t like him anymore without it getting awkward, I recently had to check myself.

I LOVED him as the Captain of the Enterprise, was BLOWN AWAY by him as Professor Charles Xavier and now I am AWED by him as a well rounded person with a purpose.  The crew over at The Orange Co posted an article that shows SPS in a different light.  First off, I was amazed to see a picture of him having his very first slice of pizza!  (Apparently he likes his spicy / hot. For his first time, he has mastered the NY fold quite nicely though.)Screen Shot 2013-06-20 at 9.54.16 PMHe then showed up under a storefront sign that bears his name from a rather popular interstellar, sci-fi series from the late 80′s to mid 90′s that you may remember.Patrick-Stewart-PicardBut the last and unexpected thing they shared was an inspiring, passionate speech he gave at the 2013 Comicpalooza.  When most folks were talking about his stint on Star Trek or his part in the upcoming X-Men film one brave woman asked him something far more important and his response was heartfelt, honest, sincere and touching all rolled into one.  Watch it below and check out the numbers after for help if you find yourself in a similar situation. The video is not the best quality but his words make him worthy of the title Sir. He absolutely honors his parents memories with the work he is doing.
